/ THE PROBLEM

The Marina Map MVP shipped with heavy manual processes to hit the timeline. As map requests climbed, those manual steps (no customer directions, ad hoc handoffs, no delivery-time estimates) became the bottleneck, and Product Design was spending about 35 hours a week creating maps in Figma.

/ WHAT I DESIGNED

A two-phase delivery system: first, automation and outsourced asset creation with a Slack-triggered handoff; then a consolidated JIRA workflow with an embedded design agency and a company-wide SLA.

/ HOW I PROVED IT

The internal 'In Design' phase (asset collection to a live map) dropped from 22 days to 5, a 77% cut, letting the feature scale to 208 marinas without scaling headcount.
